Note
Date of baptism represents date when birth was registered at Dr. Williams's Library in accordance with Protestant Dissenters custom. He and his wife emigrated to Australia, setting sail from Gravesend, Kent, 13 Jun 1842, and arriving in Sydney 4 Nov 1842. For extracts from the diary kept by Edmund during the voyage, see "My Name is Blacket" by the late Nick Vine Hall. A leading Australian architect. In St. Andrew's Cathedral, Sydney is a plaque to Edmund and his wife stating "They were buried in Balmain Cemetery, and on the Cemetery being made into a Public Park their ashes were retinterred here on the Eve of St. Andrews Day 1941".
Note
Bachelor, gentleman of Brixton in the County of Surrey, spinster of Wakefield. Both of age. Witnesses Robert Pitter, Margaret Pallet[?].
