Died without issue. Will dated 20 Dec 1770 and codicils dated 20 Dec 1770, 8 Feb 1773 and 12 Nov 1773 of Morton Davison of Beamish, Esq. To Dorothy Davison, his wife, his house and park at Beamish with 3 fields adjoining with household goods and annuity of £700; to John Eden of Windleston, bart., nephew, all household goods in the mansion house at Beamish upon trusts as specified; legacies to family, servants, etc.; to Jonathan Davison [Morton's uncle] and George Hartley of Richmond, Yorkshire, all lands, collieries, etc. not vested in Morton Davison, upon trusts as specified to pay debts and legacies, and for the male heirs of his body with remainders as specified; to Sir John Eden all leasehold lands except the staith etc. at Fatfieldand wayleaves otherwise devised, upon trusts as specified; also the latter upon trusts as specified. Codicil (1) All lands in Tanfield and Beckley to the use of Jonathan Davison and George Hartley upon trusts as specified Codicil (2) All lands etc. at Morton Palmes to the use of Jonathan Davison and George Hartley upon trusts as specified Codicil (3) All copyhold lands in Norton to the use of Jonathan Davison and George Hartley upon trusts as specified (One historical account shows "remainder" bequeathed to Morton John Eden Esq., (second son of Sir John Eden) who took the name Davison.) In 1742 he bought an estate at Bishopton from George Spearman for £6,000. Acquired lands from Francis Blake in 1766. In 1767 paid for erection of an engine on Beamish Moor and in 1767/8 for sinking of an engine pit at Beamish South Moor Colliery. 1770 party to an agreement for supply of waggons and horses for Walbottle Moor Colliery.
