Elizabeth Ord of West Ord, spinster - "my lands &c. called East and West Ord, Unthank and colliery; the tithes of Shotton, Standlaw, and Ilderton, and lands & tithes in Lucker to my son who is yet unchristened, and whom I design to call William & to his heirs, and failing such issue, to my dau. Eliz. rem[ainder] to my right heirs - to my daur. £1000 to be paid by my son when she is 21 or married: interim £60 p.a. to my aunt Eliz. Ord £40 p.a. I make her sole ex'ix. Will proved at Leeds, Yorks. 4 Nov 1713 by Elizabeth Ord, aunt & executrix.
Decree of high court of chancery in a cause wherein Wm. & Elizabeth Ord infants by Sir Wm Blackett their prochein amy [he, who without being appointed legal guardian, sues in the name of the infant for recovery of rights of the latter] were complainants against Edw. Ord and Thomas Collingwood defendants in 1715. (Abstract of deeds of Standelaw). Cited in John Hodgson's "A History of Northumberland" Part 2, Volume 1 page 270. (NB.
