Son of Elizabeth Blackett (single woman). He adopted his stepfather's name of Featherstone, but had reverted to Blackett by 1881, when he was a convict in Portland Prison, Dorset. Occupation, joiner. Charged with the manslaughter of John Emmerson at Crook 29.6.1864, but acquitted 11.7.1864. Convicted of stealing 3.4.1871, 30.6.1873, and 2.7.1877.
